Yes, you can use a prepaid card. I wish I had done just that. I got royally screwed. Hopefully I’ve learned my lesson and will be more careful about what I order and who I’m dealing with.

Yes, you can do that. The first person to post here used a prepaid card, and they could not charge anything else when that amount was gone. :) Pretty smart idea. I wish I had done the same. :( Live and, hopefully learn, I guess.

Folks, be prepared. If you sign up for this “free offer”, be prepared to receive future charges unless you are one of the lucky ones who read everything on the order page and learned that you have 14 days to cancel any future charges upon receipt of the product (which translates to a couple of days because they subtract the delivery time from the 14 days cancellation policy) and then you have 30 days to return the product. That is, if you can find the true address to return the product to them. THIS OFFER IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF. If I had read the complaints against this company, I NEVER would have done business with them. So my lesson here cost me $99.67. Don’t be a fool like me. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Hopefully, a class action lawsuit will be filled against them and then the hundreds like me will get their money back or they will be driven out of business so others don’t get hurt like me & hundreds of others have been. Again, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! THE PRODUCT IS INFERIOR TO OTHER PRODUCTS AND IF YOU DON’T READ THE FINE PRINT THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

I also got scammed by this company, using the name E-Lift Vapor Cigarette. The email indicated I would receive the e-cig for $4.95 shipping and handling and would have a full 10 days to try the product. I ordered the product on Aug. 26, 2013, was told it had been shipped on Aug. 30, 2013, but as of September 6, 2013 have not received anything other than an email stating it was shipped and charges for the shipping and, then today, $148.00. I called the company and was told they could ship me another starter kit and a free 5 pack of cartridges, but couldn’t extend the trial period until I receive it or refund the amount I had been charged. After threatening to file a lawsuit and initiate a class action suit against the company and representative with whom I was speaking, she offered me 2 starter kits, but no refund. After obtaining her name and operator number and asking to speak with a supervisor so I would know exactly who and how many individuals to name in the suit, she offered a 30% refund along with the additional product. When I stated that was not satisfactory and again requesting a supervisor, I was told none was available, but she could give me a 50% refund because they had had no other complaints of none receipt of product or charges from other customers (hunh?). When I explained that I was online looking at several forums where hundreds had complained about their shady business practices, which I wished I’d searched for prior to ordering, she offered to refund the $148, but not the shipping. When I stated I would go ahead and pursue the suit, she asked, “Over a mere $4.95? That sounds ridiculous.” I informed her that I am certain that there are thousands of people who had ordered their product in good faith and not received anything based on the complaint forums I had found and that possible millions who had been charged the additional $148 or more before receiving anything or prior to being given ample time to try it, therefore the suit could likely cost her company millions or more in damages, as well as numerous customer service reps their jobs and damages, she agreed to refund everything, including the shipping charges. When asked if I would like a complimentary kit for my inconvenience, I told her no, because I felt there would be additional catches to that offer and promptly told her I apologize for her having to take a position with such a shady company and hoped for her sake, since she sounds so young, that she could soon find employment with a much more reputable company before she found herself in financial ruin from working for E-Lift a.k.a Sapphire e-cigs.

Got caught. Yep, Usually I is a smartr dan dat, lol…Called my CC company and alerted them within the first week. They are helpful and said with the emails(Saphire sends back as MailerDemon not accepted) and phone calls (1 number is not in service and the other one tells you they aren’t accepting calls and hangs up on you) attempted it will be no problem disputing the charges. We’ll seeeee…. Glad it wasn’t a debit card used! Man I hate getting caught like this, a too good to be true deal. Makes you feel like when you leave a car dealership, all dirty and in need of a couple showers to wash it off.

I have seen these emails from Sapphire and their numerous other names pop up in my junk filter in my email. It is unfortunate indeed that are ripping off many. I wish now that I had kept one of those emails. It is phishing without a doubt. I would like to trace it back to the source to find out who they really are. Since Google and other search services gather info about searches to serve up more relevant results in the future, this means the criminals have a grab bag of content with which to craft scams like these. I am an IT security professional, so if anyone here has or runs across a email from them or from one one of their many pseudonyms I would like to get my hands on the Internet header info to trace this. A class action lawsuit would honestly burn up more money and time and get you nowhere since these are most likely fake companies. We need to “go straight t the source.”

I have tried calling, emailing, and I get nothing in return, I have to mail in my dispute to paypal I cant do it by phone do to it was on my paypal debit card so it is a slow process.
I never received a second E cig so I was ripped straight off. I think it was because i was so pissed they would not give me a refund on the one I do have, I cant even use without getting sick. There are many other people that are having the same problem with this company and its counterparts Lift Vapor, that is the company that shipped my Saphire e cig in. Plus they have the same exact advertisement.

I was trying to quit smoking and received email for a free trial of sapphire E-cig well after the 14.95 shipping I was surprised by a $99.67 charge which I never agreed to .I finally found a number and called them 1-(800) 560-8417 which there rep was extremely abrasive. Said I had to call and cancel the recurring charge .which is completely unprofessional. Why say free if u plan to charge the real cost later . well they want me to mail all items back including cartridges ,original boxing. I used 2 and they deduct the cost of them so total charge is 113+ -37 for my usage I will get back 77 dollars this really pisses me off companies scamming legit people. I hope something is done about these kinds of business practices

You people should be shut down, as a ploy to help people stop smoking you offer a free starter kit if I paid $4.95 postage & handling. Then you took 99.67 out of my account & intend to take $64.72 monthly from my account. Well I’ve put a stop to that & I’ve also turned you in for fraud. Saphire E-Cigarettes should be rip-off people company or
sap off funds, I will tell everybody I know & all my fb friends to steer clear of this company. They tell you you can return it but you have to pay for your own postage & $12.95 for each free cartrige you tried.

Thought I was smarter than this…. I ordered, not thinking twice about it until I saw another ad for another product called NO FLAME. When I saw the same picture of a pretty female holding an e smoke, I got a bad bad feeling… Damn! I just ordered the damn thing not 30 minutes ago. After reading these comments, I went to their “easy cancel” page and was given a damn RMA number. I don’t understand why since I have just ordered it, it has not even been shipped yet.. why won’t they just cancel and not ship? EDT was not until May 15. So I am confused. I need a Return Merchandise Authorization number to mail back a product I JUST ORDERED TODAY AND HAVEN’T RECEIVED YET??? Being that it is almost 8pm EST, there is no way they have shipped it already. I am going to call but am worried I won’t get through. Damn this sucks because I am only on unemployment and don’t have money for crap charges like this!

After I called THEIR web page phone number and cancelled the order via a computer generated voice, I then pressed “0” to speak to someone… And they (supposedly JOSH-the manager) tells me that- that was a Third-party and they have no control… completely NOT!!!!! acknowledging the fact that they’re EVEN the same company After seeing that they charged me the 99.67 I was told that IF I HAD CALLED THEM FIRST…. WHAT !!! that’s what I thought I did… but NO… I think that a class action suit is just what needs to be done. I’m going to contact my states Attorney General in MINNESOTA and see what I can do…

Boy, am i glad i am not the only one to fall for this scam. I went to bank and filed a complaint. the bank blocked any future access to my account by this company. I had a meeting with banks legal department The bank has credited my account and they will handle the complaint. They will file charges if necessary to recover the money. They told me that that bank alone has had over 25 complaints filed since April and they and other banks are working with the A.G.office to bring charges. If that happens then all officers of My Saphire will have to come to Massachusetts to answer the charges. I am lucky in the sense that the bank credited my money so i will not lose that and the process of making them pay is out of my hands.

Today I just checked my bank account and it seems a transaction is going through for $99.67 from this company Saphire. So I call my bank and they said the transaction is already going through. They informed me to call the number on the transaction. So I did…it is BOGUS…that number does not work. So I have the information saved on my pc..I go to that..find a number to call…I get them on the phone and tell them I WANT THAT CHARGE TAKEN OFF NOW! This guys says mam…you approved this when you ordered the trial kit..I said NO SIR I DID NOT…he says oh yes…it’s to the left of the page…I said SIR..I DID NOT SEE ANYTHING THAT SAID THERE WOULD BE A CHARGE DOWN THE ROAD…I DO NOT ENROLL IN ANYTHING, I am old enough to know better, I have been burned before. I TOLD HIM TAKE THIS CHARGE OFF..he says no mam…you had 14 days to cancel..oh but I see you just did cancel a few minutes ago…but I can’t give you back your 99 dollars. I SAID LOOK…I will contact the better business bureau and I am on my way to my bank right now to file a dispute TO GET MY MONEY BACK..You guys are RIP OFF AND YOU KNOW IT! I hung up, and I am very upset. If anyone knows what else I can do to get my 99 dollars back please let me know. I JUST CHECKED MY BANK ACCOUNT AGAIN…AND IT HAS NOT BEEN 14 DAYS SINCE THE FIRST TRIAL PACKAGE HAS BEEN PROCESSED. So HE LIED TO ME! Don’t fall for it…what made me fall for it was the ad…two doctors on their wrote their testimonies. And the so said articles written in Wal Street Journal, New York Times…ALL A JOKE! DON’T DO IT~

Just got off the phone with Saphire and was told to return the product for a refund. I don’t know how a company can get by with misleading their customers like this. I have also changed my credit card number and the comapny finally told me I would be refunded minus the carbomizers I used. Interestingly enough, the kit comes with one pack of carbomizers. I got two kits one with a car charger. I sent two kits and a car charger back. I was refunded 34.95 times 2. Which means the comapany charged me for 2 boxes of carbomizers per kit. Something they don’t even send you in the trial kit. They only send 1 box per kit. So they charged me for 4 boxes of carbomizers. NICE. Well I am pursuing a full refund of all charges. I also filed a complaint with the attorney generals office in Indiana. I have had a case number assigned and am waiting to see how that complaint will be handled . But in the meantime the BB of upstate NC is following this closely. Hope this helps. Wish I had known and my fiance was the one that wanted to order and is legally blind. You are right when you say they have blacked out the terms on the bottom of their page to be unreadable. But if you print it all, it will come out white. VERY MUCH A SCAM TO CVLEAN OUT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. DO NOT PARTICIPATE. BEWARE.

I to got taken, as you can see by my post on SCAM ALERT. If you could give me the contact number for Cindy RIGDON, I would appreciate it. I’ve had no luck contacting BBB of NC on line.

I wish I had seen this page before I tried this product! DO NOT TRY THIS PRODUCT…A COMPANY THAT HAS NO INTENTION OF TREATING YOU WITH ANY RESPECT!!! I have wanted to try electronic cigarettes for some time and this seemed like the time to give it a whirl. I filled out the form for a free trial (only paying $4.95 for shipping). I have smoked menthol cigarettes for 30 yrs and so obviously wanted menthol. Instead, I received non-menthol. As I had never tried electronic cigarettes, I knew I didn’t care for them but kept using them anyway. I finally thought that perhaps these weren’t menthol. So I called customer service, and indeed, I was NOT sent MENTHOL. The agent said he was sorry and would send menthol cartridges. A few days later, even before the menthol cartridges came, I was charged the $99.67. I immediately called the company and explained the situation to the representative. Although she acknowledged that there MAY have been a “GLITCH” in their system, I was still obligated to pay as I had become a member. After a lengthy discussion with her, I asked to speak with a manager, she replied that “he is really busy” and would not transfer me to him. I received an RMA number and address to return everything (1120 W Butler Rd, Unit J Greensville, NC 29607) After reading comments on this site, I am not going to bother trying to return the product. Instead, I am going to comment on every website I can find about this company; contact the better business bureau; the USPS and anyone else I can think of!

I was scammed by them from a pop-up window that occurred when I was on my regular suppliers website. I thought the offer was coming from GreenSmoke, so I trusted the offer. They got me for about $80.00! I reported them to the FTC!! I finally found the correct number to call and cancel and it wasn’t the number on the order. KARMA POUNCE on them!!!

Has anyone heard of a legal way to stop them and get refunded. I found a place on one of their sites that says there is a 60 day return policy.

Wow, so many people got scammed by this two-bit company. I feel bad that they got ripped off, but it just proves so many of us are quick to jump at so-called bargains, without bothering to do a small background check. A simple Google search does so much, plus I think it’s always safer to go with established brands like V2, Smokeless Image, etc.

Please contact customer service @ 1-800-560-8417 to get an RMA for a return. Please be advised that we do honor refunds. The addresses are different as we use different warehouses for shipping depending on your location. This is so it gets to you faster (1-3 days), so you have time to eval the product. It’s a really good e-cigarette kit.

    Thanks
    Saphire.

THE NUMBER I WAS GIVEN ON MY ORIGINAL LETTER, WITH DELIVERY OF MY STARTER KIT WAS 1 888 497 6566, NOT 1 800 560 7417. ALSO NOTED ON MY LETTER OF QUARANTEE WAS I QOUTE “TO RECEIVE YOUR REFUND IT MUST BE REEIVED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF YOUR INITIAL PURCHASE OF THE PRODUCT AND BE IN UNUSUED OR US OR RE-USABLE CONDITION.” GOT THE RMA NUMBER AND MAILED KIT BACK BY REGISTERED MAIL, WITH TRACKING NUMBER. HAVEN’T HEARD FROM THEM SINCE. WHEN I CALL I’M ON HOLD FPR A LEAST 20 MINUTES. STILL A SCAM.

At least you got to talk to someone. Once I found out they lied that it was free, and I would be enrolled in a program that intially costs almost a hundred dollars and 67 dollars thereafter every month, I spent almost 100 minutes on the phone trying to talk to someone but never got an answer from a person, only computer gibberish that fraudulently claimed I was first on the list and back to hold for at least a half hour and sometimes over an hour. I have been calling almost every day for two weeks. Screw these assholes, I just sent them an e-mail that if my card is charged so much as a dime I was filing criminal charges, and civil claims for every dime this scam advertising has cost me. I bet they change their advertising as courts take action against them from across the country.

You don’t answer your phones – not any number that I could find – and you provide no easy way for people to cancel! And when I canceled via the email, you took YET ANOTHER PAYMENT from my card!!! This company is an example of the WORST customer service in the world! I have reported you to the BBB. STOP TAKING MONEY FROM MY CARD!!!

I am a college student and this is all the money that I had left! Returning product tomorrow please refund my account in full111

MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH VAPING WAS WITH A SIMILAR SCAM BY SMOKING STICK. THAT SCAM AND THIER CRAP OVERPRICED PRODUCT LEFT SUCH A BAD TASTE IN OUR MOUTHS(LITERALLY) IT KEPT US SMOKING FOR ANOTHER 3 YRS. I WONDER HOW MANY OTHERS WILL TURN THIER BACKS ON VAPING DUE TO DIRT BAG VENDORS LIKE SAPHIRE ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES!
